Create a Japanese kanji-numbered list

Note  To complete this procedure, you must first turn on Japanese language features.
  1. On the Home tab, under Slides, click Layout, and then click the Title and Content slide layout.

  2. Delete the first bullet in the list, and then on the Mac OS Input menu, click Hiragana.

  3. Using the number row on your keyboard, type the number 1, and then press the SPACEBAR twice.

    Note  Don't use the ten-key pad to type the number.
  4. In the list, click the kanji number that you want to use, and then press RETURN.

    The number is underlined in your text.

  5. Press RETURN again.

    The underline is removed from the number.

  6. On the Input menu, click U.S.

  7. Type a period, and then press the SPACEBAR.

  8. On the Input menu, click Hiragana, and then type your text.

    Notice that the word is underlined. When you press RETURN, the underline is removed. When you press RETURN again, you move to the next line and a numbered bullet appears in the same format as the first bullet.
